CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Examination.
Photo requirements
CDS takes your photograph through your camera during the application itself. You cannot upload a saved photo, so there is no pixel size or file size to match. Get the capture right instead.
How to get the capture right
- •Capture the photograph live using the UPSC online application portal during registration
- •Ensure your face is clearly visible with both eyes open and adequate lighting
- •Use a plain white or light-coloured background without shadows
- •Do not wear a cap, mask or dark glasses unless required for medical or religious reasons
