Photo requirements
SSC CHSL takes your photograph through your camera during the application itself. You cannot upload a saved photo, so there is no pixel size or file size to match. Get the capture right instead.
How to get the capture right
- •Use a well-lit place with a plain background
- •Keep the camera at eye level before taking the photo
- •Stand directly in front of the camera and look straight ahead
- •Ensure your entire face is within the prescribed capture area
- •Do not wear a cap, mask, or spectacles/glasses
- •If webcam capture is unavailable, use the official SSC mobile app via the QR code provided in the application portal
- •Poor-quality, blurred, miniature, side-facing, or partially visible photos are liable to rejection
